A Latina-led nutrition program at National City’s Olivewood Gardens is the focus of ‘The Kitchenistas,’ a documentary screening at the San Diego Latino Film Festival. At the Olivewood Gardens & Learning Center in National City, the harvest includes edible flowers, bouquets of herbs, and mountains of ripe fruit and fresh-from-the garden vegetables. It also includes “The Kitchenistas,”a documentary filled with educational nutrients, empowering fiber and heaping portions of love.
