Putting science at the service of community is a common goal of the Fleet Science Center and Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center, who partnered with filmmaker Mary Ann Beyster, to celebrate the science of healthy eating and the chemistry of The Kitchenistas. This documentary tells the story of a passionate group of Latina immigrants in National City advocating for healthy food traditions.
